murder

Murder in the Orient Express is based on the novel of the same name by Agatha Cristie, one of the most celebrated mystery story writer. It tells the tale of how a lavish journey across Europe becomes a race to find a mysterious killer before he or she strikes again. All passengers come under the eye of suspicion as greatest detective Hercule Poirot inspects the case further.

The movie has remained quite faithful to the original plot, only with minor tweaks here and there. However just like many other adaptations of mystery novels, this movie too has somewhat been unable to keep the anxiety of not knowing who the culprit is. To maintain the flow of the movie, many clues have been almost revealed and ultimately, the climax fails to impact you.

Nevertheless, it is something worth watching if you have never read any Agatha Christie book. Even if you are known to the plot, you get to compare the movie adaptation and the old book.
