If you thought Avengers: Civil War was the biggest compilation of superheroes, then you should definitely watch out for Infinity War. Avengers will be extending its umbrella and it is going to be awesome!
Set after four years of the events of Guardian of the Galaxy Volume 2, the Avengers have now been torn apart in the middle. Everyone is busy with their work until a new evil looms over the Universe. Enter Thanos with his quest for the Infinity Stones that will give him the power to bend reality according to his wishes. The Avengers will need to come together to fight this common evil, forgetting all the clashes of opinions. They also need to extend a hand of partnership towards the Guardians of the galaxy. Joining the band will be Doctor Strange, Ant Man, Spiderman and the one who recently became fan-favorite, Black Panther.
Multiple speculations are in the air. Some are confident enough that they will see Iron Man’s suit fitted with wings. Some reports are giving spoilers, which are not entirely correct, that Iron Man will have to lose a fist. And we cannot forget , Loki. Yes, he too is coming back. But whose side will he take? One of the infinity stones is also being suspected to be hidden somewhere in Wakanda. But surely, everybody is waiting for the new villain that Marvel has for us.
To be honest, Thanos isn’t that new. He made cameo appearances in Guardian’s of the Galaxy as Gamora and Nebula’s twisted dad, the ruler of the Chitauri who invaded Earth in the first movie of Avengers. His looks have changed over time but the main built is the same. Due to his deformity at birth, he ended up being huge. He is an Eternal, a superhuman with insanely too many powers who hates the universe for his appearance. He is the run for the six Infinity Stones that will give him the power to turn reality upside down. The mere existence of everything is at stake and it’s no time for domestic feuds.
All the movies prior to Infinity War had been showing the Infinity Stones. So we can say that all of them were building up for this moment. Benicio del Toro’s character, The Collector, describes the origin of the stones in 2014’s “Guardians of the Galaxy”: “Before creation itself, there were six singularities. Then the universe exploded into existence, and the remnants of these systems were forged into concentrated ingots. Infinity Stones. These stones, it seems, can only be brandished by beings of extraordinary strength.”
So, brace on people. This time, all loose and stray ends will be tweaked together. All things that we saw in the end-credits will finally make real sense. Because this time, it is the final showdown.
